Union Gardens Infant School on Track for September Opening

On Friday, August 28, Prime Minister Hon. Portia Simpson Miller and Minister of Education, Hon. Ronald Thwaites led a tour of the construction site of the Union Gardens Infant School in South-West Andrew. The school is expected to receive its first group of students in September.

These include, the Cari-Med & Kirk Distributors Foundation, National Baking Company Foundation, The CHASE Fund, Jamaica Social Investment Fund, Seprod Ltd./Seprod Foundation, TankWeld Group, Stewart’s Automotive Group, Sandals Foundation, Kingston Wharves Limited, Jamaica National Building Society, Food for the Poor, Advanced Integrated Systems, General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica Limited, Delta Supply Company Limited, the National Water Commission, The Gleaner Company Limited, JPS Foundation, Proven Limited.

The Cari-Med/Kirk Distributors Foundation is a member of the Union Gardens Foundation which has spearheaded construction of the school.

Construction of the school has been spearheaded by the Union Gardens Foundation.
