Evelyn Mitchell Infant School/Center of Excellence wins award

The Evelyn Mitchell Infant School/Center of Excellence ‘wins’ again!  The school came out on top with the Early Childhood Commissions’ Standards Award – 2013/2014 school year.

Early Childhood Institutions in Jamaica are inspected by the Commission annually to ensure their compliance to the set standards, these are: staffing, developmental/educational programmes; interactions and relationships with children; physical environment; indoor and outdoor equipment, furnishing and supplies; health, nutrition, safety, child rights, child protection and equality, interaction with parents and community members, administration and finance.

The Evelyn Mitchell Infant School/Center of Excellence was built by the Cari-Med & Kirk Distributors Foundation in 2010 in memory of  our CEO’s mother whose name the school bears.
